How to Buy a Ticket for the High-Speed Train from Medina to Mecca

Haramain High-Speed Railway

This is a modern high-speed railway connecting the cities of Mecca, Medina, Jeddah, and KAEC. The travel time by train is about 2 hours, whereas by car it takes 4-6 hours.

The railway was built in 2018, with the project costing around 16 billion dollars. This project is a significant achievement for Saudi Arabia, greatly easing pilgrims’ travel between the holy cities, making it faster and more comfortable.

2. Fill in the Form

Field Descriptions:

Round trip - Choose this option if you want to buy tickets for a round trip.

One way - Choose this option if you want to buy tickets for a one-way trip.

From - Enter the departure stationalt
To - Enter the destination stationalt

Departure date - Enter the departure date.

Return date - Enter the return date.

Add passengers - Select the number of passengers.

After filling out all the fields, click the “Search” button.

3. Select Time

Choose an available time.

Then, choose from the available options:

  • Business Offer - Business class without the option of refund/exchange
  • Business - Business class
  • Economy Offer - Economy class without the option of refund/exchange
  • Economy - Economy class

Click the “Select” button.

4. Choose a Seat

Choose your desired seats.

Click the “Next” button.

5. Add Passenger Information

Fill in all required fields: first name, last name, date of birth, gender, document type, document number, country, phone number, and email.

Tick the box to accept the terms and conditions.

Click the “Book” button.

6. Payment

Choose a payment method and click the “Pay” button.

After successful payment, you can immediately download your tickets in PDF format, and you will also receive them at the provided email address.
